What You Need to Get

The Cheese Dream Team:

  • 250g elbow macaroni is traditional but to be honest any pasta is good!
  • 200g mature cheddar cheese
  • 100g mozzarella cheese
  • 50g parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 50g butter
  • 50g plain flour
  • 300ml whole milk
  • 100ml double cream (can be left out but makes it super creamy)
  • 3 tbsp Legendary Sauce Co's Roasted Garlic Aleppo sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (for that perfect crunch)

Let's Make it Legendary

Pasta Perfect (10-12 minutes):

Start with perfectly cooked al dente pasta (that's fancy Italian for not quite done yet!)  - it'll continue cooking in the sauce, so don't overdo it!

The Legendary Sauce (15 minutes):

Create your roux with butter and flour, then gradually add milk and cream. This is where patience pays off - keep whisking for that silky-smooth texture.

Cheese Paradise (5-7 minutes):

Add your cheeses gradually, letting each addition melt completely. Then comes the magic - our Roasted Garlic Aleppo sauce transforms this from great to legendary!

The Grand Finale (15-20 minutes):

Top with breadcrumbs and extra parmesan, then bake until golden and bubbly. The anticipation will be worth it!

Pro Tips:

  • Grate your own cheese - pre-shredded doesn't melt as smoothly
  • Keep your roux moving - nobody likes lumps!
  • Let the mac & cheese rest for 5 minutes after baking
  • Use room temperature milk for a smoother sauce

Make It Your Own:

  • Add crispy bacon bits
  • Mix in caramelised onions
  • Top with fresh herbs
  • Stir in roasted vegetables

Storage Tips:

  • Keeps in fridge for up to 3 days
  • Reheat in oven for best results
  • Add a splash of milk when reheating
  • Can be frozen for up to 1 month

Heat Level: Medium with a warm garlic finish
Perfect For: Family dinners, potlucks, comfort food cravings
Make-Ahead: Can be assembled in advance and baked when needed
