About Legendary Sauce Co.

Hi, I’m Richard a lover of spicy food and an avid, self-taught cook living in the beautiful landscapes of Cumbria with my wife and young daughter. Legendary Sauce Co. began in my cafe’s commercial kitchen during the quieter days of Covid. With our doors temporarily closed, I started experimenting with bold, flavour-packed chilli sauces. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into a full-blown passion. Today, Legendary Sauce Co. is run from our home kitchen, where I craft small-batch sauces with care, creativity, and a commitment to quality, and over the past few years we’ve actually won a number of Awards too, which is a dream come true and absolutely mind blowing!

The Problem with Chilli Sauces? Too Much Vinegar, Not Enough Flavour.

Let’s face it—most chilli sauces on the market are all heat, no substance. I was tired of the sharp tang of vinegar dominating the flavour. So, I flipped the script, putting flavour first. My recipes focus on fruit-forward ingredients and the natural complexity of chillies to create sauces that are as delicious as they are fiery.

My mission is to take you on that journey, helping you discover the incredible variety chillies have to offer. And today we've got a range of heat levels so we have a chilli sauce for every taste from our very mild Roasted Garlic Alleppo Chilli Sauce to our super hot Sweet Chilli Reaper Hot Sauce.

The name came from a brainstorming session with a friend who said, “Whatever you call it, it needs to be Legendary.” That stuck with me because it perfectly sums up our ethos: bold flavors, high-quality ingredients, and sauces that stand out in a crowded market. Every bottle we make is crafted to deliver unforgettable flavour—because ordinary just doesn’t cut it. Were also proudly made in Cumbria, UK, we support local farmers and producers, ensuring quality and sustainability.
